Rani hopes to get worthy roles in films

Rani Mukherji has spent her quality time with children from eight city-based orphanages recently and spent time singing and dancing with them along with the cast and crew of her latest Yash Raj film, Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic.

“I keep to myself after shooting and don’t go where there is a lot of media. I like to spend time with my family when I am not working,” she said, clarifying her ascetic stand.Presently Rani is doing films only for the Yash Raj banner and her favourite director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, of late. When quizzed about it, she admitted she had become selective about her roles. “I want to essay characters which I have not done before.

The roles I am offered by these directors are very significant and good. So why would I do insignificant roles? Let the other producers and directors offer me good roles, I am open to doing them,” Rani retorted. She added that this was the first time in her life she had not used glycerine in a film. “I don’t have to cry in any frame of Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic and I wear only one outfit throughout the film which is something very unusual,” she laughed.
