First ever 31 crore 'flop' in the history of Hindi cinema, TASHAN now also has the distinction of completing 50 days at the box office. And all of this happens even as the film has been panned by one and all.
Ironical as it may sound but TASHAN would be entering its 8th week tomorrow. Due to huge expenses incurred in producing the film, TASHAN couldn't turn out to be a success. However, an extended run coupled by some decent collections coming in after a below average first week meant that losses weren't huge. In fact it isn't a 'colossal flop' as many wanted it to be termed as and the losses for its distributors have been minimal as well.
With the film's music doing reasonably well, DVDs arriving at the stands soon and satellite telecast expected to be promising, TASHAN may eventually have a longer shelf life than what was expected from it after a disappointing first week run.
