No longer fits the character

Adnan Sami might be very happy with his weight loss, but he has certainly made some people really unhappy. The person in question is none other than Bala Segal, sister of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Bela was doing an untitled film with Adnan Sami where his role was written keeping him (read a fat man) in mind. The film was a comedy where a fat man falls in love with a girl and goes through his trials and tribulations. The fat man in the story was also a singer.

However, things have changed drastically. Adnan has lost about 100 kilos and he is not overweight anymore. He then decided not to do the film as the story has lost its relevance, thanks to his weight loss.

Says a source, "As the story was written keeping him in mind, it was very difficult to find a replacement. After Adnan said no, they searched for another actor who would fit the bill. But, it was a wild goose chase. In the end, the film was shelved."

"When the script was discussed, Adnan was quite kicked about the project which depicts a love story between an obese man and a beautiful girl. However, after losing more than 100 kilos, he is not interested anymore and refused it outright," the source added.

The film was supposed to mark the debut of Mona Singh of Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin fame. Bhushan Kumar of T-Series was supposed to produce the film.
