I am a big fan of Shah Rukh

He is better remembered as a guy who makes funny and irreverent comments on Bollywood and its high-profile stars. Even Shah Rukh Khan is not being spared by him. Yes, Sunil Grover, the TV actor of Ruk Ruk Khan fame, is back.

After his effervescent performance in Kaun Banega Champu?, the actor is now doing another spoof called Kya Aap Panchvi Fail Se Champu Hai, which is a spoof of the famous show Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hai hosted by Shah Rukh Khan.

The show boasts of having a better format than the original show. It will be having fake celebrities and the children will be those people who are still stuck up in Class V since last 20 years. Ask Sunil why is he still obsessed with mimicking SRK and doing spoofs on his shows? “Primarily because people liked it, they appreciated Kaun Banega Champu and want more of it,” he says.
So does he like SRK? “Of course, I am a big fan of SRK. This show is a tribute to him,” says this actor cheekily. So does it mean he does spoof on SRK because he likes him? “Actually SRK is there on television 24x7, we are doing this show which makes him more popular by half an hour,” he says.

Since he is working more on television, wouldn’t he like to do meaty roles in serials too? “Currently, I am busy shooting for this serial. But yes, if I find a good role coming up, then definitely I would like to do it,” says Sunil.

But isn’t he experimenting too much with comedy? “It is just like cricket. If you know you can bowl well, then you should concentrate more on bowling. I am comfortable doing comedy,” he admits.

Moving on to movies, Sunil has his kitty full with two major banners, one is his small role in Aamir Khan’s much talked about movie Ghajjini. Sunil says, “It was superb to work with Aamir Khan. He is extremely dedicated to his work, it was a pleasure working with him,” adds this actor.

Sunil feels life is ‘celebration’. Well, we do agree with him.
